Silicon carbide roller


Silicon carbide roller is formed by high temperature sintering using an extrusion process specially developed by Sanchem New Material. Drilling and grooving can also be carried out according to the requirements of the user's design drawings, and the inner and outer diameters of both ends can be finished to meet the requirements of the user's engineering installation.

Typical applications
  • Transfer rollers in high temperature roller kilns.
  • Application industry: technical ceramics, DPF, lithium battery anode materials, electronic ceramic powder, sanitary ware, daily ceramics, magnetic materials, refractories and other materials sintering process.
Features and advantages
  • The minimum standard of the straightness of the roller is <=0.8‰. The straightness of each roller shall be tested by laser before leaving the factory. The test data of each roller will be provided to the customer.
  • Each roller needs to pass the test of 70MPa standard bending strength testing machine, so as to ensure the reliability of each roller.
  • Silicon carbide rollers provide a technologically superior, cost-effective solution for demanding high temperature kiln applications. Compared with conventional reaction-sintered silicon carbide (SISIC), recrystallized silicon carbide (R-SiC) and nitride bonded silicon carbide (N-SiC), they can withstand higher loads at higher temperatures for longer periods of time, thus increasing the productivity per unit kiln.
  • The excellent chemical resistance of silicon carbide rollers enables them to operate for longer periods of time in highly corrosive atmospheres and ionic environments.
  • The strong oxidation resistance of silicon carbide rollers enables long and stable operation in oxidized atmospheres -- longer life.
  • In some applications, even if the user only uses silicon carbide roller in the high temperature zone, because the reduced size of the roller reduces the cost of the corresponding furnace bearing and other accessories, the same size of the SISIC roller or heat resistant alloy can be used in the low temperature zone, thus providing significant cost savings for the user.
