Accurate Measurement Steel Ruler Water Level Gauge
Specification
The steel ruler water level gauge provides the most accurate way to
measure the water level, it can be used to measure the water level
inside wells, boreholes and the water level pipes, it’s very
suitable for the underground water level observation in
hydroelectric engineering and manual inspection of the earth and
rock dam body saturation line.
The instrument can be used during construction, and also long term engineering safety monitoring, it complies with the earth dam safety monitoring
technical specifications.

Principle
The measurement and reading is consists of two parts:
1.Buried part is consists of the water pipe and the bottom cover (
purchase separately )
2.Receiving device on the ground - steel ruler water level gauge is
consist of the testing probe, steel ruler cable, receiving system,
winding plate and the other components.
Probe: The probe is made of the stainless steel, and the water
resistance contact point is installed internally, when the contact
point touches the water, the receiving system is on, when the
contact point out of the water, the receiving system is off.
Steel ruler: The steel ruler and the lead wire are adopt the
plastic technology to be the one, which prevents the steel ruler
corrosion, and also simplifies the operation process, more
convenient and accurate reading.
Receiving system: It consists of the sounder and the indicator
light . The sounder gives a continuous beep, and the indicator
light gives the sharp flash.
Instruction
During measurement, after the coil has been rotated, press the
power, and put the probe into the water pipe, then hold the steel
ruler cable, let the probe moves down slowly.
The sounder will gives a continuous beep when the contact point
touches the water surface, then can read the depth of the steel
ruler at the pipe mouth, that is the distance from the underwater
level to the pipe mouth .
Notes
A) When the probe touches the water, the sounder beeps, the
indicator flashes, then slowly put down the steel ruler cable, in
order to find out the sound carefully or the exactly location of
the indicate moment, then we can read the depth from this point to
the borehole.
B) The reading accuracy is depends on the timely determination of
the buzzer and the indicate starting position. The measurement
accuracy is depends on the operator's proficiency, so the operator
should practices more.
Maintenance
Due to the battery capacity, please turn off immediately after the
measurement is completed! Remove the battery cover and replace the
battery (9V battery, multimeter battery).
Keep the probe and the steel ruler cable clean after use, and put
the steel ruler cable neatly around the reel, and be placed in the
cabinet.
Don’t bend the measuring cable , especially when it is close to the
head, to avoid the cable to be damaged.
Put the probe gently to avoid severe vibration. If the probe got
any problem, please send back to our factory.
Receipt and storage
Users should check whether the number of instrument are tally with
the packing list, if not, please contact with our factory.
The instrument should be stored in a room of -10 ~ +40 ℃. The
room's temperature is not greater than 80% with non-corrosive gas,
keep the room dry and ventilated .
The equipment is subject to the rules of transportation, storage
and usage within one year from the shipment date, if the product
quality is lower than the technical conditions, we are responsible
for the repair and replacement, but if unauthorized demolition, our
factory will be not guaranteed.
