Stainless Steel CNC Milling Service Custom Milling Machining CNC Aluminum Parts

Complex Machined Processing Curved Part CNC Aluminum Stainless Steel Milling

Fabrication Parts Processing Service

Our CNC Milling Capabilities

Our CNC milling process allows for the rapid production of custom prototypes and end-use production

parts, often within just one day.

We utilize both 3-axis milling and 5-axis indexed milling processes to fabricate parts using over 30

engineering-grade plastics and metals.

With machined production parts, you can benefit from more cost-effective pricing as quantities increase,

along with offerings such as first article inspection (FAI) reporting, material certifications, and the

availability of additional finishing options like anodizing and chromate plating.

Our CNC milling service is commonly used for:

1. functional prototypes
2. jigs and Fixtures
3. production components in lower volumes

Materials Commonly Used in CNC Milling

CNC milling encompasses a wide range of materials, with three main categories: plastics, soft metals,

and hard metals.

These materials are versatile and suitable for various machining applications. Examples of materials

used in CNC milling include aluminum, bronze, copper, ceramics, plywood, various types of steel,

stone, wood, and zinc, among others.

Certain materials, such as aluminum and mild steel, are favored by machinists due to their ease of

workability and excellent properties, making them industry standards for many applications.

Common Metal Materials for CNC Machining
Metal MaterialProperties
Aluminum2024: Good fatigue resistance and strength; excellent toughness at moderate to high strength levels; improved fracture toughness
6061: Excellent machinability, low cost, and versatility
7075: High strength, hardness, low weight, and heat tolerance
BrassVersatile and highly attractive copper/zinc alloy with warm yellow color accommodates severe forming/drawing
CopperHigh ductility and high electrical and thermal conductivity; develops attractive blue-green surface patina over time
Stainless SteelExcellent machinability and outstanding uniformity; good workability and weldability, high ductility and formability
Steel AlloyMix of chromium, molybdenum, and manganese yields toughness, good torsional and fatigue strength
Steel Mild Low CarbonHigh machinability and weldability, high stiffness; good mechanical properties, machinability, and weldability at low cost
TitaniumExcellent strength to weight ratio, used in aerospace, automotive, and medical industries

What Is a CNC Milling Machine Used For?

CNC milling is employed to fabricate products composed of glass, metal, plastic, wood, and

custom-designed components.

Machinists utilize this process to create prototypes and items for various industries, including aerospace,

automotive, hardware startups, manufacturing, medical devices, robotics, and others.

FAQ's

1. Can make design drawings for me?

We do not offer standalone product design services, but we do provide Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

reviews for all approved orders.

This means that we collaborate with our clients to optimize their 2D and 3D drawings, enhancing

manufacturability, resolving design issues, and reducing production expenses. Learn more about

preparing your CAD drawings for manufacturing.

2. What type of design files does We accept for quoting?

To ensure a precise and prompt quotation, we exclusively accept 3D CAD files in STL, STEP, or IGES

formats. 2D drawings containing reference dimensions should be submitted in PDF format.

Comprehensive manufacturing information should be included in this technical documentation. Informal

communication through SMS, Skype, email, etc., will not be recognized for manufacturing purposes.

3. How does compare to other suppliers on price?

When it comes to pricing, we offer a competitive advantage. Typically, our prices for plastic injection

mold tools and CNC machined/turned parts are 25-45% lower than those of suppliers in North

America and Europe.

In contrast to Chinese suppliers, we do not compete solely on price. Instead, we prioritize delivering

the utmost quality, rapid responsiveness, and professional results to our clients.

4. What tolerances you can achieve?

Tolerances are not standardized across all processes and materials. The final tolerances on your part

depend on various factors, such as part size, design complexity, the number and size of features,

materials used, surface finish, and the manufacturing process employed.

Once your order is confirmed, we conduct a Design for Manufacturing review to identify areas that may

need modification for better manufacturability.

It's helpful if you can specify which areas in your design have critical tolerances that must be met and

which can be adjusted, if necessary, to optimize production time and cost.

Here are some general tolerance guidelines:

1. General tolerances for CNC machining in metal and plastic.
2. Tolerances for plastic injection molding.
3. Reference charts for CNC machining of metals and plastic injection molding materials.
4. General tolerance for metal 3D printing is +/- 0.5mm.
5. A shrinkage rate of +/- 0.15% can be expected for vacuum casting.
6. All manufacturing and technical specifications must be clearly defined in the 2D drawings
to be

followed accurately.
