Product Details
Overview
The RRU3971 is an outdoor remote radio unit. It is the radio
frequency (RF) part of adistributed base station and can be located
near antennas. The RRU397l can modulate.demodulate, combine, and
divide baseband and RF signals. It also processes baseband and
RFsignal data. With the software-defined radio (SDR) technology,
the RRU3971 supports thetriple-mode or dual-mode operation of any
two modes of GSM, UMTS, and LTE throughsoftware configuration
modification. Also, RRU397l supports LN, or GLN mode.Adopting an
innovative design, RRU397l is able to work in 4 TX and 4 RX mode
andtherefore supports higher output power and larger carrier
capacity.
The software version ofthe RRU3971 (1800 MHz/1900 MHz/AWS) is
SRAN11.1, which iscompatible with the N-1 and N-2 versions of MBTS,
MBSC, and OSS NEs. Therefore, theRRU3971 can be used with products
ofSRAN9.0, SRAN10.1 and SRAN11.1 versions. Althese three versions
include the RRU397l software components. The RRU3971 used
inSRAN9.0, SRAN10.1 and SRAN11.1 has no impact on the KPl of
products.
The software version ofthe RRU3971 (2100 MHz) is SRAN12.0, which is
compatible withthe N-1 and N-2 versions of MBTS, MBSC, and OSS NEs.
Therefore, the RRU3971 can beused with products ofSRAN10.1,
SRAN11.1 and SRAN12.0 versions. All these threeversions include the
RRU3971 software components. The RRU3971 used in SRAN10.1,SRAN11.1,
and SRAN12.0 has no impact on the KPl of products.

Meaning of product code segments
While the base model defines the core product, vendor-specific and
hardware codes provide further detail.
- RRU3971: The base model name for the remote radio unit.
- HKL: A specific part of the product code used by Huawei to identify the
model version and its frequency band.
- NCV: This designation is likely an internal product configuration code
used by the vendor for specific manufacturing or sales purposes.
