This fabric has a tow size of 3k and is woven in a 2×2 twill weave. This is the most widely used weave pattern across multiple industries. This material is woven tighter than most of our competitors’ fabrics which helps ensure a straight weave and a better-looking final product.

This is a commercial-grade fabric, the fiber in the material may vary by the manufacturer between rolls but the specifications of each fiber will be the same. There may be cosmetic differences between rolls & manufacturers.

This 2x2 twill weave is our most popular carbon fiber fabric. This 3K tow (3000 filaments per fiber) fabric provides outstanding structural strength with a signature appearance that is highly desirable for modern composite parts in the aerospace, auto, marine, and sporting goods industries.

When compared to plain weave counterparts, the twill weave offers greater conformability, presents a beautiful herringbone texture, and delivers a slight edge in strength. In fact, our #1069 boasts an ultimate tensile strength of at least 610 KSI—most competitors offer only around 500 KSI.

RIGIDITY

This sheet is best suited for applications on flat surfaces or pipes due to the fact that it only bends in one direction. It can bend enough that it could wrap around a 4-inch diameter pipe, making it about 4 times more rigid than the 0.25mm sheet. It is not recommended on compound curves, convex, or concave surfaces.

strength and surface requirement.Shanghai Lijin offers top quality ROUND carbon fiber tubes. The general OD tolerance we achieve is +/-0.10mm and it can be even +/-0.05mm after our special surface process.

The maximum length of the tube can be 5500mm.

Besides the traditional table-rolled carbon fiber tubes, Shanghai Lijin also offers REAL Filament wound carbon fiber tubes,which are widely used for mechanical strength like auto driving shaft, antennas, even for military

applications. The filament wound carbon tubes are wound at a certain angle like 30 or 45 degree. We invested the new production line from Jun 2013 and this increases Shanghai Lijin’s advantage in the carbon

fiber tube industry. There are just a few real filament wound carbon fiber tube manufacturers in domestic

China and we are one of them.
