Why do white clothes turn yellow?
1 Fluorescent agent becomes weaker
Fluorescent agent is a whitening dye, which can brighten the dyed
fabrics. However, after washing too much, the fluorescent agent on
the white clothes will be lost and weakened, and the clothes will
appear yellow and old.
2 Oil residues secreted by the body
The sweat and oil of the human body adhere to the fibers of the
clothes, and the acid substances secreted will oxidize and turn
yellow. Generally, the yellowing is the most serious under the
armpit or inside the collar.
4 Detergent residues
Unwashed detergent can also cause clothes to turn yellow.
Pay attention to these things when washing white clothes
1 Check the water temperature
It is best to wash in cold water. If the clothes are placed in cold
water immediately after washing in warm water, the clothes will
shrink suddenly, and the detergent in the fibers will be retained,
making it difficult to wash, thus causing the clothes to yellow and
discolor.
2 Make good use of bleach
Bleach can only remove water-soluble colored dirt, not oil and
non-oxidizable particulate dirt (such as dirt on collars), etc.
Therefore, it is necessary to use washing powder to achieve better
decontamination effect.
