The heater stop valve is typically located in the coolant line that supplies the heater core. It is a mechanical or electronic valve that can be opened or closed to control the flow of coolant. When the valve is open, coolant flows freely through the heater core, allowing heat to be transferred to the air. When the valve is closed, coolant flow to the heater core is blocked, preventing warm air from being generated.
