Optimize assembly with our Torx screws (Star Drive). Engineered for high torque transfer & reduced cam-out. Available in alloy steel & stainless steel with protective coatings.
Experience superior fastening performance with our high-quality Torx screws, also widely known as Star Drive screws. Featuring a distinctive 6-point star-shaped recess, Torx drive design offers significantly higher torque transmission compared to traditional drives like Phillips or Slotted. This minimizes the risk of cam-out (driver slippage), reduces tool wear, and allows for more precise installation. Engineered for reliability and efficiency in demanding assembly and maintenance tasks.

Primary Uses & Applications:
Torx screws are versatile fasteners suitable for numerous
industries requiring high torque, reliability, and reduced
slippage:
* Automotive assembly (interior, exterior, engine bay components).
* Electronics manufacturing (computers, appliances, consumer
devices).
* Machinery and equipment assembly.
* Construction (HVAC, cladding, decking - often with specific
coatings).
* Furniture assembly and woodworking.
* Aerospace and defense applications (specific high-grade
materials).
* Bicycle and recreational equipment.
Surface Treatment/Finishes:
Applied to enhance corrosion resistance, appearance, and sometimes
lubricity:
* **Zinc Plating:** Clear, Yellow, or Black Chromate (most common,
economical corrosion protection).
* **Geomet® (Zinc Flake Coating):** Superior corrosion resistance
(e.g., 500+ hrs salt spray), RoHS compliant.
* **Phosphate & Oil:** Good lubricity and mild corrosion
resistance.
* **Black Oxide:** Decorative finish with mild corrosion resistance
and reduced glare.
* **Passivation:** For Stainless Steel screws, enhances the natural
oxide layer for maximum corrosion resistance.
* **Dacromet / Delta Protekt®:** High-performance, lubricious,
corrosion-resistant coatings.
How to Use:
Select the correct Torx driver bit (T-bit) matching the screw size
precisely. Insert the bit fully and squarely into the recess. Apply
torque using a hand screwdriver, nut driver, or power tool. The
design allows higher torque application with significantly less
risk of cam-out compared to Phillips or Slotted drives. Ensure the
driver bit is in good condition to prevent recess damage. Choose
the appropriate screw material, size, thread type, head style, and
coating based on the substrates being joined and the environmental
conditions.
