Rochon prism suitable for medium to high power lasers
The Rochon prism is made of two birefringent crystals glued together or glued together. Due to the same refractive index, o light and e light propagate together along the optical axis direction at the refractive index no of o light in the first crystal. When the two beams of light enter the second crystal, o light continues to propagate at the refractive index no, while the refractive index of E light changes from no to ne and refracts on the cross-section. The angle of refraction further increases at the interface between the second crystal and air, resulting in a separation angle between the emitted O light and E light.
