Itis the strongest and most reliable method of joining a belt and should be used wherever possible, it is nearly as strong as the belt itself is less troublesome than other fastening methods and results in longer belt life. The surface is left smooth so that scrapers and brushes can be used more effectively and with less risk of damage to the belt than with a fastener joint. The belt is integrated, and the strength of the hot jointing can reach 80-90%. And it can prolong the life of conveyor accessories such as belts, rollers and idlers.

How do you Vulcanize a conveyor belt?

The hot vulcanizing method utilizes heat and pressure to mend sections of a conveyor belt. Hot vulcanisation splices are heated and cured under pressure with a vulcanizing press. The damaged portion of belt is carefully trimmed or removed. A new section repaired and bonded in place using cement or other adhesives.
