an average 5% for all exporting countries since 2016 when wine
shipments were valued at $32.5 billion. Yet the world wine exports
declined in value by -4.8% from 2019 to 2020.

Australia, and Chile. In international wine trading business, the
wines from these 5 countries account for more than 70% of global
wine exports.

Among these top wine exporters, the fastest-growing wine exporters
from 2019 to 2020 were: Netherlands (up 26.1%), New Zealand (up
6.9%), Portugal (up 5.5%) and Australia (up 1.9%). However, those
countries that posted declines in their exported wine sales were
led by: Singapore (down -28.9%), United Kingdom (down -18.2%),
Germany (down -12.8%), France (down -9.1%) and South Africa (down
-6.3%).
