EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) shape moulding machine is a type of
equipment used in the manufacturing process of EPS foam products.
EPS foam, also known as Styrofoam, is a lightweight and versatile
material widely used for insulation, packaging, and construction
applications.
The shape moulding machine is specifically designed to produce
various shapes and sizes of EPS foam products, such as blocks,
sheets, panels, and custom molded products. It uses steam and
pressure to expand and mold the EPS beads into the desired shape.
Here's a general overview of how an EPS shape moulding machine
works:
Pre-expansion: The process begins with the pre-expansion of EPS
beads. The beads are fed into a pre-expander, where they are
exposed to steam and heat. The heat causes the beads to expand and
fuse together, forming expanded beads with low density.
Aging: The expanded beads are then transferred to an aging silo,
where they are allowed to cool and stabilize for a certain period.
This aging process helps to improve the performance and consistency
of the EPS foam.
Main features :
1.The rack configuration with high strength improves the useful life
of equip- ment by high annealing aging heat treatment,derusting by
sandblast,galvani- zed surface and spraying heavy-duty paint on the
surface.
2.Adopted with two-part light replaceable guide bushing and wearable
self- lubricating copper bushing to resolve the problem of
difficulty to replace guide bushing of the equipment and improve
the lubricating effect atthe same time .
3.The hydraulic pressure System of the equipment is adopted with the
design scheme of high speed and high pressure.The
opening&clamping mold speed of conventional pumping unit is
150mm/s and the maximum opening&clamping mold speed of
energy-saving machine can reach at 250mm/s.The automatic machine is
adopted with clamping mode with two points each in both sides,
which can clamp mold preferably to reduce leakage.
4.Technique application of pilot-operated steam valve:the valve is
adopted with cylineder actuator of DN 80 to control large-diameter
valve with accurate sensi- tive control.The input steam pressure
stabilizes in 0.1-0.15Mpa with the error of±0.01Mpa.The heating
time of the same type of equipment shortens by 30% and the energy
consumption decreases by 25-30% on year -on year basis.
