Flanged Butterfly Valve Description

The flanged butterfly valve has the advantages of small structural length and overall height, fast opening and closing speed, low fluid resistance when fully opened, and sensitive flow control when opened to about 15~17 degrees. The structural principle of flange butterfly valve is most suitable for making large-diameter valves.
Under the following working conditions, butterfly valves are recommended:
1 Throttling, regulating and controlling the flow rate are required;
2 Mud media and media containing solid particles;
3 Where the valve structure length is required to be short;
4 Occasions requiring fast opening and closing speed;
5 Where the pressure difference is small.

Storage and maintenance

1. When not in use, it should be placed in a dry and ventilated room, and both ends should be covered with dust covers to ensure that the inner cavity of the valve is clean.
2. When stored outdoors for safekeeping, it should be supported, not in contact with the ground, and covered with plastic film for protection.
3. When the valve stored for a long time is reused, check whether the packing fails, and add lubricating oil to each rotating part.
4. During use, the valve should be checked regularly to ensure its normal use, including tightening the valve packing gland nut regularly to compensate the valve stem wear.
5. The valve must be used and maintained within the specified service period, including replacement of gasket, packing, sealing ring, ball (as required) and other sealing pairs.
6. Keeping the working environment of the valve clean can prolong the service life of the valve.
