A biomass pellet processing line is a system of specialized equipment that transforms various types of loose biomass (like wood chips, straw, or husks) into dense, high-value fuel pellets through a sequence of steps: chipping/crushing, drying, pelletizing, cooling, screening, and packing. This complete production line optimizes the process from raw materials to finished product, creating high-density, eco-friendly fuel pellets for industrial, domestic, or power generation uses.
1. Raw Material Storage System
Mainly used to store materials to prevent them from becoming damp
and deteriorating, or from clumping and clogging pipelines. It also
regulates the moisture content of materials to produce qualified
products. It also allows for screening and grading of materials
according to different product requirements.
2. Pulverization Unit
Solid granular raw materials are processed through mills and other
mechanical equipment into powder products that meet particle size
requirements for use in subsequent processes.
3. Drying Unit
This unit removes moisture and reduces the moisture content,
thereby reducing heat consumption and smoke emissions. It also
improves product quality and production efficiency, and also
protects the environment.
4.There will definitely be a small amount of unqualified products.
The screening equipment is to screen out qualified particles and
remove unqualified particles.
5.Bucket elevator conveyor
In the pellet production line, the bucket elevator is used to
transport materials vertically.

In our daily lives, a large amount of biomass waste can be used to
make wood pellets. Common raw materials for wood pellets are as
follows:
-Crop residues. This includes cotton stalks, wheat straw, rice
straw, corn stalks, corn cobs, and other cereal straws.
-Sawdust. Wood chips are excellent for pelleting. Sawdust-based
biomass pellets produce stable yields, smooth pellets, and high
hardness.
-Small wood shavings. Due to their large size, wood pellets are
difficult to fit into wood pellet machines and therefore require
crushing in a sawdust grinder before use.
-Sanding powder used in wood and furniture factories. Sanding
powder is lightweight and prone to clogging. It is recommended to
mix wood chips and pellets together, with a ratio of approximately
50% each.
-Wood board and wood chip offcuts. These raw materials need to be
crushed before use.
-Fiber materials. The fiber length of this raw material should be
controlled, generally not exceeding 5mm.
FAQ:
Can rice husks be used to make pellets?
Yes, of course. Rice husks can be used to make pellet fuel.
However, it's important to ensure the husks maintain a certain
moisture content, around 10%.
What are the uses of wood pellets?
Wood pellets are typically used directly as fuel. These fuel
pellets are often used to heat factory boilers and homes.
Alternatively, wood pellets can be carbonized in a carbonizer to
make charcoal pellets.
