What is the difference between SUS and SS?
SUS: What Do They Mean? As you may have guessed, “SS” is the
abbreviation for “stainless steel.” It's the
American way of listing steel grades (ex: SS grade 316). “SUS,” on the other hand, is the typical Japanese
Industrial Standards (JIS) designation for stainless steel grades. It stands for “steel use stainless.”
What is grade 202 stainless steel?
Grade 202 is chromium-manganese-nickel stainless steel with high
toughness at low temperature. In comparison,
grade 202 has less nickel content unlike 304. Hence it offers low corrosion resistance and lower toughness. But it
is a less expensive substitution for grade 304 in many applications.
Does 410 stainless steel rust?
SS 410 is more durable and resistant to rust than T304 steel.
However, both types of cookware can last for many
years with proper care.
What is 420 stainless steel used for?
Grade 420 stainless steels are commonly used steels, and they are
frequently fabricated into items like: knife blades,
cutlery, needle valves, shear blades, and surgical equipment and instruments.
