This GN-FP-505 Simple Design Large Corten Steel Fireplace is a modern outdoor fireplace of generous and dramatic proportions, combines the rich, variegated patina of oxidized metal with clean, minimalist design.

The heart of GN-FP-505 is a natural gas or propane burner – 60,000 BTU/h (18 kW), a wide strip of flame that animates the structure, warming the surrounding area and playing light and movement across the solid Corten surfaces.

The GN-FP-505 Simple Design Large Corten Steel Fireplace is square, conveying mass and materiality and large enough to be a substantial space definer.

This industrial looking material is both durable and dynamic in appearance, exhibiting a sense of multi-dimensional layers of deep copper and bronze hues.

The rust patina resists corrosion, requires no treatment or weather-proofing, and does not compromise structural strength of the steel. Unlike raw steel, Corten steel is corrosion resistant due to its alloy composition - it will not show bubbling, flaking or peeling, which normally occurs with raw steel. Rather, a soft intended layer of rust blankets the steel with deep earthy tones, which is why Corten is favored among architects and artists. Corten steel is made from recycled content and is 100% recyclable.
