Filtration equipment first appeared during the European Industrial

In the early days, the spiral filter found such a situation when
filtering wastes such as fish and shrimp. At the beginning of
filtration, the feed was squeezed and the filtrate flowed out of
the filter screen. However, after a period of filtration, the
filtrate will stop flowing, and the filter cake will not be
discharged from the discharge port.
With the development of spiral filtration technology, in order to
avoid the problem of clogging, a relatively new filter structure
appeared in Germany and other European countries in the 1970s, such
as grid filter structure, dynamic fixed ring filter structure, etc.
Among them, the movable and fixed ring structure filter screen is
covered with multiple ring pieces on the screw shaft, and the ring
pieces are divided into two types: fixed ring pieces and movable
ring pieces. The fixed ring and the movable ring are spaced apart
from each other and have a certain filtering gap. The friction
between the movable ring and the fixed ring can produce a friction
force that promotes the extrusion of the material more than hinders
it, thereby improving the filtering and separating effect of the
material and avoiding the need for Clogging phenomenon of high
viscosity materials [2].
