Dissolved oxygen sensors are available in different types,
including optical, electrochemical, and galvanic. Each type has its
own advantages and disadvantages, and the cost varies accordingly.
The electrochemical sensors are the most commonly used and have a
moderate cost range. The cost of a basic electrochemical sensor can
range from $50 to $150.
Dissolved Oxygen Sensor Brief Introduction
The DS380 series of fluorescent dissolved oxygen sensors use a new type of fluorescence lifetime technology and
high-performance fluorescent materials. The fluorescent dissolved oxygen sensor is based on the quenching
principle of the specific fluorescence of a specific substance in
physics. Blue light from a light-emitting diode (LED) illuminates
the fluorescent material on the inner surface of the fluorescent
cap, and the fluorescent material on the inner surface is excited
to emit red light by detecting the phase difference between red and
blue light and the internal calibration value. The ratio is
calculated to calculate the concentration of oxygen molecules, and
the final value is automatically compensated by temperature and
pressure.
