Steel structure is a structure composed of steel materials and is one of the main types of building structures. The structure is mainly composed of steel beams, steel columns, steel trusses and other components made of section steel and steel plates, and adopts rust removal and rust prevention processes such as silanization, pure manganese phosphating, washing and drying, and galvanizing. Welds, bolts or rivets are usually used to connect components or parts. Because of its light weight and simple construction, it is widely used in large workshops, venues, super high-rises and other fields.
Features:
Steel structure has very good strength and strong toughness. For
cement and wood, the value of density and elastic strength is not
high, so under the same weight limit, the surface of steel
structure construction is small, light weight, suitable for
handling pavement, can be used for large span, high height, bearing
capacity heavy structure.
The steel structure has good toughness and plasticity, the material
is very average, and the construction is easy to use.
The steel structure is resistant to high temperature and fire. The
properties of steel structures hardly change below 150°C.
Therefore, the steel structure is more suitable for use in a high
temperature environment, but when the surface temperature of the
structure is about 150°C, the heat radiation on the structure
surface should be protected by a heat shield. At 300°C-400°C, the
strength and elastic modulus of the steel structure decrease
significantly, reaching about 600°C, and the hardness of the steel
structure is basically zero. For buildings with problematic fire
protection requirements, the steel structure should be protected by
fire-resistant materials to improve its fire-resistant performance.

Application:
1. Industrial plant
In metallurgical workshops, open hearth, blooming workshop,
converter workshop, iron mixing furnace workshop, steel casting
workshop, forging workshop, hydraulic press workshop of heavy
machinery factory, etc. In recent years, general industrial
workshops have also begun to use steel structures.
2. Multi-storey and high-rise buildings
In the past, due to the shortage of steel, many projects still used
reinforced concrete structure, but now steel structure is gradually
developed in this field.
3. Large span structure
Aircraft hangars, aircraft assembly workshops, large halls, large
coal depots, exhibition halls, gymnasiums, etc. require large-span
structures, and their structural systems can be grids, suspension
cables, arches, and frames.
4. Light steel structure
Lightweight portal steel structure houses and cold-formed
thin-walled steel structures can be used for buildings with lighter
loads or smaller spans. In recent years, lightweight structures
have been widely used in industrial plants, offices, warehouses and
sports facilities, and have been developed into residences and
villas.
5. Plate and shell structure: oil depot, oil pipe, gas depot, blast
furnace, hot blast stove, funnel, chimney, water tower and various
pipes and other plate and shell structures.
6. Structures subject to vibration loads and seismic action
For a workshop with a forging hammer, the frame directly bears very
little power, and the vibration of the workshop is very strong, so
a steel structure can be used. Steel structures should also be used
for those with high seismic requirements, and other special
structures such as bridges, derricks, pipeline supports and
offshore oil production platforms.
7. Detachable or removable structure
Production and living ancillary buildings on construction sites,
temporary exhibition halls, etc., these structures are detachable,
mobile structures such as tower cranes, crawler cranes, crawler
crane jibs, gantry cranes, etc.
