The Omron CJ2H-CPU66-EIP (CJ2HCPU66EIP) is a CJ2 series input output control module with EtherNet/IP points. The control module has an input output capacity of 2,560 points for every 40 units, permitting up to 3 expansion racks. Its program capacity is 100K steps while it data memory capacity is 160K words divided into 32K words of data memory (DM) and 32K words times 4 banks of extended memory (EM). The current consumption for the CJ2H-CPU66-EIP, when it is at 5V is 0.82 Amp and 0 Amp when it is at 24V. It may be an escalation in amperes added that depends on the adapter used.

The CJ2H-CPU66-EIP input output control module with EtherNet/IP has three distinct interfaces: the peripheral (USB) interface, the serial interface and the EtherNet/IP interface. The peripheral interface will connect with programming devices like a CX-Programmer. The serial interface links with host computers, programmable terminals and many other devices. The EtherNet/IP interface attaches to an information management system, i.e. a host computer. Beside the peripheral and serial interface is the memory card compartment. This compartment connects the memory card to the CJ2H-CPU66-EIP CPU module. For the safe removal of the memory card from the CPU, the module possesses a power supply switch which turns off the power permitting for a secure disconnect. There is also a battery compartment which supports the CJ1W-BAT01 battery.

In a classic Omron configuration the CJ2H-CPU66-EIP input output control module with EtherNet/IP is the CPU that would be connected to the power supply and to a number of specialized input and output modules by the unit connectors on the side of the module. The configuration can then be secured by the sliders.
