The double-sheet detection system is designed for a special application of the radiation sensor. This application was originally designed for the printing industry. Ultrasonic through-beam sensors are used to detect the thickness of paper or sheet.

The ultrasonic double sheet detector is suitable for identifying:

• Paperless, single or double sheet
• Base material
• Labeled base material

The ultrasonic double-sheet detector is used to automatically and high-speed discriminate substrate materials, labels, single sheets and double sheets, thereby protecting the machine from waste in the production process. The entire system includes an ultrasound transmitter, an ultrasound receiver and a processor external or built into the receiver. These components are already configured at the factory and cannot be used separately.
