Standard Sizes:
1/2"–4" (DN 15–100)
Materials:
316L Stainless Steel Bar Stock ASME SA-479
(UNS S31603), 1/2"–4" (DN 15–100)
Tank Connection:
The tank interface surface is designed for a weld attachment.
However, ANSI flanges can be ordered upon special request.
Drain Port End Connections:
Standard outlet port is on a 30° angle. 45° angle is available upon
special request.
Operating principles:
The diaphragm provides the body seal as well as the seat seal.
There are no paths to the outside environment and as such the valve
is suitable for aseptic processes.
As the valve is closed a pressure pad which supports the diaphragm
moves towards the sealing face on the body. As the pressure plate
moves the diaphragm flexes and is forces down onto the seal area in
the centre of the body thus closing off the flow path through the
body.
The inter-relationship of body to the pressure plate prevents over
compression of the diaphragm. The valve can be actuated either
manually or pneumatically are controlled by control tops and
solenoid valves.
The seal materials comply with FDA177.2600 standard. Using proprietary technology, the diaphragm uses a combination of EPDM and PTFE, which is secured using SS bolts. The sealing part where contact with the medium is of PTFE material, it has good cold resistance -13°F (-25°C), excellent heat-resistance 482°F (+250°C), tolerance to most chemicals, and excellent abrasion resistance to medium flow.
Diaphragm valves, ,manually or pneumatically operated, are
specially designed to use on hygienic and aseptic processes in the
pharmaceutical industries, The valves is excellent for flow control
as well as for on/off duties. Diaphragm valves are widely applied
to CIP/SIP.
