The elastic thread has high strength, high surface friction and tighter binding. The elastic string has a special double-layer structure, with high strength, high surface friction, and it is not easy to slip and break after binding, so it can avoid the traditional rubber band slippage and delayed healing of ulcer surface caused by incomplete tissue necrosis and so on.​

Multiple points can be ligated on the same horizontal level, and the effect of anal cushion lifting is obvious. Due to the defect of the rubber band in traditional ligation, generally no more than 3 ligation points on the same horizontal level, otherwise it is easy to slip off. New ligation device use elastic threads instead of rubber bands, banding is extremely tight, so the numbers of ligation point can be appropriately increased, and the effect of anal pad lifting is obvious. For severe circular prolapse hemorrhoids, 3 to 4 points can be ligated on the base of the hemorrhoid piles, and 6 to 8 points can be ligated at upper mucosa which above the hemorrhoid (i.e. around the rectal wall, which is equivalent to a circle of hemorrhoid mucosa resection ), the anal cushion lifting effort is similar to PPH but without foreign body matters and scars.
