Ultrasonic transducer consists of:
The ultrasonic transducer consists of a shell, an acoustic window matching layer, a piezoelectric ceramic disc transducer, a backing, an outlet cable and a Cymbal array receiver. The piezoelectric ceramic disc transducer is made of PZT-5 piezoelectric material polarized in the thickness direction. The Cymbal array receiver consists of 8 to 16 Cymbal transducers, two metal rings and rubber gaskets. How a magnetostrictive ultrasonic transducer works: Iron-rich metals expand and contract when exposed to a magnetic field. When electricity passes through a copper wire, the metal core expands and lengthens. Like piezoelectric transducers, current at a set frequency creates a resonant effect.
