2.3 LED/Buzzer function description
LED function: The LED color is normally in RED. It starts with 2 green flashes on power up the reader and remains RED. When a RFID proximity card is present to the reader, The LED will momentary flash green, this indicates that the card was read properly by the reader. When the LED control signal is active, the LED changes to green.
Beeper Function: Power up the reader, the beeper will active 2 times. When a RFID proximity card is present to the reader, a short beep will be emitter. This indicates that the card was read properly by the reader. When the Buzzer control signal is active, the buzzer will sound till buzzer control line is released
Hold function: when this line is asserted,(made low by HOST) the reader will buffer one card read (ignoring subsequent reads) until the line is released.(made high or open)
3. Access Control System
TCP/IP network door access controller
TCP/IP network door access controller is based on TCP/IP
communication protocol, which uses network optical cable to
transfer data of door control information. It has a built-in
internet communication port on its main board and could be
connected with router or hub directly through network cable.
By TCP/IP network, the door access control system could manage
doors in a same LAN, or a large WAN, or on internet. In reality,
each access control main board could be assigned an IP address so
the software could visit and manage it individually. For internet
control, adopts DDNS(Dynamic Domain Name Service) technology for
convenient and efficient online control, by DDNS combined
technology, the operator could control the system worldwidely with
ease and it is much better than old day’s telephone line control
method.
The main difference between TCP/IP and RS485 access control system
has two factors, first is the transmission speed, TCP/IP is much
faster than RS485 (TCP/IP is 10M/100M Bytes while RS485 is 9600Baud, 1Baud=1 bit per second), second is
the capacity of the whole system, the size for RS485 and LAN is
255, the size for WAN or Internet use is unlimited.
Note: Dynamic DNS is a system which allows the domain name data
held in a name server to be updated in real time. The most common
use for this is in allowing an Internet domain name to be assigned
to a computer with a varying (dynamic) IP address. This makes it
possible for other sites on the Internet to establish connections
to the machine without needing to track the IP address themselves.
A common use of this door access controller is for running server
software on a computer that has a dynamic IP address, as is the
case with many consumer Internet service providers.
