1-48" Pipe Size Portable Flow Meter Clamp On Ultrasonic Flow Meter
I. Introduction
ML-6100P is a full function portable transit-time ultrasonic flow
meter. No matter you want to quickly verify the flow reading of
another meter or to data log flow system values over an extended
time period, the MELAN’s 6100P is the suitable tool.
The 6100P portable meter has the clamp on transducers no tapping or
cutting is required, just clamp outside of the pipe. The meter can
be easily moved and installed in different pipe and convenient to
carry site to site.Its portability makes it an excellent choice for
measuring flows throughout the plumbing infrastructure to verify
sensor, pump and valve performance.
II. Working Principle
The external clamp type or pipe section type ultrasonic flow meter
is based on the principle of "velocity difference method" to
measure the liquid flow in the pipe. It adopts advanced multi pulse
technology, digital signal processing technology and error
correction technology, so that the flow meter can adapt to the
environment of industrial field, and the measurement is more
convenient, economical and accurate. The products have reached the
advanced level at home and abroad, and can be widely used in the
fields of petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, electric power,
water supply and drainage, etc.

IV. Measuring Principle
Transit-time technical means the ultrasonic signal from the
transducer is transmitted and received through the moving liquid,
there will be a difference between the upstream and downstream
transit time, which can be used to calculate flow and velocity.
