The evaporation loss of lubricating oil is particularly important
for internal combustion engine oils. At high temperatures, a
portion of the oil will evaporate, leading to increased oil
consumption and potential changes in oil performance.
This Noack B method Evaporating Loss Tester is a specialized
instrument designed to measure the evaporation loss of lubricating
oils within a specified temperature range. It is manufactured in
compliance with the standard NB/SH/T 0059 ("Determination of
Evaporation Loss of Lubricating Oils – Noack Method") and is widely
used in petroleum refining, petrochemical industries, and
scientific research institutions. It plays a crucial role in
controlling oil quality, ensuring lubricant performance, and
prolonging service life. By accurately measuring evaporation loss,
it helps evaluate oil performance and durability, providing a
scientific basis for production, storage, and application.
It is mainly composed of heating system, temperature control
system, constant air flow pressure control system, control system,
vacuum system and timing alarm system. Its working principle is to
make the bathtub reach the required constant temperature state for
the test by means of a heater, and use an air pump to feed the
sample into the evaporation test device in the constant temperature
bath at constant pressure. After the specified time, the instrument
will measure the amount of evaporation loss of the test.
It has the advantages of fast heating speed, high accuracy of
thermostat, no noise, no pollution and uniform and stable airflow
distribution. Using a touch color screen as a display, the
intelligent PID control algorithm controls the temperature to
ensure high temperature control accuracy and strong

Functions of Instrument
The touchscreen display on the tester controls the entire testing process, including heating, cooling, weighing, and calculation.
When testing, the host controls the evaporation time of the sample
according to the set test temperature, vacuum pressure, cooling
time and other parameters. After the evaporation is completed, it
automatically enters the cooling process. The user is prompted to
weigh the weight. After the evaporation loss result is calculated,
the result is automatically stored in the host database for query.
The database stores all test-related data, including test time,
sample coding, test temperature, test pressure, test method,
evaporation loss, result determination, etc. When querying, any
record data can be queried directly on the host display. The
database stores up to 999 record data and automatically overwrites
the first saved record data when it is full.
