This is partly due to low density and corrosion resistance of Titanium Grade 2 Rods which can be easily welded, hot and cold worked and machined.

Ti Alloy Gr. 1/2 Round Bars is used where corrosion resistance is an important criterion, or where operating temperatures preclude the use of aluminum.
