2. This item works with essential oil directly, don't need water
3. It is recommended that you clean the glass diffuser reservoir once a month in order to ensure functionality. You can do that by adding a little bit of alcohol(1 to 2ml) to the glass reservoir by a dropper. Once you have added the alcohol, switch on the diffuser, and let it run for five to ten minutes in order to clean the micro-tubes. Afterward, dispense off the leftover alcohol and let your diffuser air dry.
