The 7mm thick urethane cord is very strong and durable, and it's suitable for the widest range of surfing conditions, from knee-high to well overhead. The leash has two stainless steel swivels, which allows the cord to rotate freely, preventing it from getting kinked or tangled, so it stays out of your way. The ankle cuff is cushioned and comfortable, but made with thick neoprene and nylon material. The Velcro strip fastens the cuff securely to your ankle, and it has a pull loop to assist with removal. There is a hidden pocket under the bottom Velcro strip, so you can keep your car key with you instead of finding somewhere to stash it on land. The railsaver, which prevents the urethane cord from cutting into your surfboard, is three layers thick and has a Velcro release so you can switch leashes easily.
