The structure of PTFE steam heater and PTFE hot water heater has
two types: shell and tube heater and tube bundle heater. The main
part of them is a tube bundle consisting of many small-diameter
thin-walled PTFE heat transfer hoses (see figure below). There are
a variety of commonly used pipe specifications, outer diameter ×
wall thickness are 3 ~ 6mm × 0.3 ~ 0.6mm. The tube bundle contains
60-5000 tubes, and the two ends are separated from each other by
PTFE tape. The tube bundle is inserted in a ring and welded into an
integral honeycomb tube sheet. The other parts of the PTFE heater
are similar to the common shell and tube heaters and immersion
heaters that use metal tubes as heat transfer components.
The connection strength between the PTFE heater tube bundle and the
tube sheet reaches 1.5Mpa. Through combination, it can be made into
a variety of PTFE heaters. It is an ideal choice for strong
corrosive, strong acid, and strong oxidizing medium heat transfer.

The working pressure, working temperature, heat transfer
coefficient and installation method of PTFE heaters vary greatly
according to different types, different shell materials and
different heat media.
PTFE's chemical properties are extremely stable, and its corrosion resistance is particularly good. The surface of the PTFE tube wall is smooth and moderately flexible, and it vibrates slightly when used, so it is not easy to scale. The PTFE heater is small in size and compact in structure. The heat transfer area per unit volume of the equipment is more than 4 times that of the shell and tube heater of the metal tube.
