Introduction

Downhole motor is a kind of downhole dynamic drilling tool powered by drilling fluid. The mud flow enters the motor through the bypass valve from the outlet of the mud pump. This flow produces pressure loss at the inlet and outlet of the pump, drives the rotor to rotate, and transmits torque and speed to the drill bit. The performance of the downhole motor mainly depends on its performance parameters.
