Extend the service life of BW250 mud pump, as follows
1. Correct installation and debugging
Installation environment: Choose a dry, well ventilated, and solid
foundation installation location to avoid adverse environmental
effects such as moisture and dust on the mud pump, and to prevent
equipment damage caused by vibration due to unstable foundation. At
the same time, it is important to ensure that there is sufficient
space around for easy operation and maintenance.
Pipeline connection: When installing the inlet and outlet pipes, it
is necessary to ensure that the pipeline connection is firm and
well sealed to avoid affecting the working efficiency and service
life of the mud pump due to pipeline leakage. The layout of
pipelines should minimize bending and resistance to ensure smooth
flow of mud.
Installation accuracy: During the installation process, it is
necessary to strictly follow the requirements of the equipment
installation manual to ensure the installation accuracy of the mud
pump, such as levelness, concentricity, etc., to prevent abnormal
wear and vibration caused by installation errors during equipment
operation.
Debugging and running: After installation, conduct comprehensive
debugging work. Check whether the installation of each component is
correct, whether the addition of lubricating oil and grease meets
the requirements, and whether the electrical system is normal. Run
the equipment without load for a period of time, observe whether
there are any abnormal sounds, vibrations, or heating, and ensure
that the equipment is running normally before putting it into
formal use.
2. Reasonable use
Medium selection: Ensure that the transported mud meets the
requirements of the mud pump, and the viscosity, particle size,
sand content, and other parameters of the mud should be within the
specified range. Avoid conveying mud that is too thick or contains
large particles or sharp impurities, in order to avoid increasing
pump load and wear.
Operating parameters: Strictly operate according to the rated
parameters of the mud pump, and do not operate under excessive
pressure or flow. According to actual work requirements, adjust the
pump speed and pressure reasonably to avoid prolonged operation
under extreme conditions and reduce equipment fatigue wear.
Start stop operation: Before starting, check whether all parts of
the equipment are normal, close the valve of the discharge
pipeline, open the valve of the suction pipeline, and ensure that
the suction pipeline is filled with liquid. When starting, the
speed should be slowly increased and gradually adjusted to normal
working condition after the equipment runs stably. When stopping
the machine, gradually reduce the speed, close the discharge
pipeline valve, and then stop the motor operation to avoid sudden
start stop impact on the equipment.
Avoid dry running: During operation, ensure that the suction port
of the mud pump is always below the mud level to prevent dry
running of the pump. Dry running may cause damage to components
such as pistons and cylinder liners due to overheating, seriously
affecting the service life of the equipment.
3. Regular maintenance
Comprehensive inspection: Conduct a comprehensive inspection and
maintenance of the mud pump at regular working hours or operating
mileage. In addition to routine maintenance tasks, it is also
necessary to conduct non-destructive testing on important
components such as crankshafts, connecting rods, crossheads, and
piston rods to check for potential defects such as cracks.
Component replacement: Timely replace vulnerable components such as
pistons, cylinder liners, inlet and outlet valves, seals, etc.
based on the wear and tear of the equipment and its service life.
Do not wait until the components are completely damaged before
replacing them, in order to avoid affecting the normal operation of
the equipment and the service life of other components.
Performance testing: Regularly test the performance of the mud
pump, such as flow rate, pressure, volumetric efficiency, etc., to
understand the operating status of the equipment. If performance
degradation is found, the cause should be analyzed in a timely
manner and corresponding measures should be taken to repair it.
