The Air compressor check valve can be found in various locations.
There are at least 2 check valves in your screw compressor.
- They are also found between your compressor and the air receiver (tank).
- This is to make sure that when the compressor is stopped, no air can flow back into the compressor.
The oil stop valve is design for oil-flooded rotary screw compressor applications. The pilot port is connected to the compressor outlet. The valve is installed in the oil line, preferably downstream of the cooler. On shut down the pilot pressure decreases closing the oil stop. The valve comes in normally closed version so the valve needs to be piloted for oil flow.
