Glass Fiber Geogrid Introduction
Glass fiber geogrid is a network structure material made of glass
fiber alkali free twistless roving as the main raw material and a
certain weaving process. In order to protect glass fiber and
improve the overall use of polyester geogrid, high-strength Hai Lun
industrial filament is used to warp knit directional weaving grid
blank cloth and coated to form geogrid.
Geotextile is used for highway, railway, tunnel, dam and tailings
treatment, isolation, filtration, drainage, reinforcement,
protection and enhancement
The causes of cracks in asphalt overlay are analyzed, and a new and

Glass Fiber Geogrid Features:
Improve the high temperature rutting resistance of asphalt concrete
pavement. Under the influence of many factors, it is easy to reduce
the high-temperature stability of asphalt mixture, resulting in
rutting - which will affect the driving comfort, and even have
hidden dangers of traffic safety. The application of Geogrid in
asphalt concrete pavement can improve the support capacity of
asphalt concrete pavement, so as to add a layer of guarantee for
traffic safety. In addition, adding geogrid in asphalt mixture can
strengthen the bearing capacity of asphalt concrete pavement, and
geogrid, as an independent anchor point, limits the displacement of
aggregate, so that the interaction between asphalt mixture and grid
is of great significance to improve the stability of mineral
aggregate framework.

Product use
1. The old asphalt concrete pavement shall be reinforced to
strengthen the asphalt surface course and prevent diseases.
2. Cement concrete pavement is reconstructed into composite
pavement to restrain reflection cracks caused by plate shrinkage.
3. Road expansion and reconstruction project to prevent cracks
caused by new and old joint and uneven settlement.
4. The reinforcement treatment of soft soil foundation is conducive
to the water precipitation and consolidation of soft soil,
effectively inhibit settlement, uniform stress distribution and
enhance the overall strength of subgrade.
5. The semi-rigid base course of the new road will produce
shrinkage cracks, and the reinforcement will be strengthened to
prevent the pavement cracks caused by the reflection of foundation
cracks
Construction method Glass Fiber Geogrid
(1) Firstly, the subgrade slope line shall be set out accurately.
In order to ensure the subgrade width, each side shall be widened
by 0.5m. After leveling the dried base soil, static pressure shall
be carried out twice with 25t vibratory roller, and then 50t
vibratory compaction shall be carried out four times. The uneven
places shall be leveled manually.
(2) Pave 0.3m thick medium (coarse) sand. After manual and
mechanical leveling, static pressure shall be applied twice with
25t vibratory roller.
(3) When laying the geogrid, the bottom surface of the geogrid
shall be flat and dense. Generally, it shall be laid flat,
straightened, without overlap, curl and kink. The two adjacent
geogrids shall be overlapped for 0.2m, and the overlapped part of
the geogrid shall be connected with No. 8 iron wire every 1m along
the transverse direction of the subgrade, and the geogrid shall be
fixed on the ground with U-nails every 1.5-2m.
(4) After the first layer of geogrid is paved, the second layer of
0.2m thick medium (coarse) sand shall be filled. The method: the
sand shall be transported by truck to the construction site and
unloaded on one side of the subgrade, and then pushed forward by
bulldozer. After filling 0.1M within 2m on both sides of the
subgrade, the first layer of geogrid shall be folded up and then
filled with 0.1M thick medium (coarse) sand. Filling and pushing
from both sides to the middle is prohibited, It is forbidden for
all kinds of machinery to pass and operate on the geogrid without
filling medium (coarse) sand, so as to ensure that the geogrid is
flat, free from bulge and wrinkle. After the second layer of medium
(coarse) sand is leveled, horizontal measurement shall be carried
out to prevent uneven filling thickness. After leveling, static
pressure shall be carried out twice with 25t vibratory roller.
(5) The construction method of the second layer of geogrid is the
same as that of the first layer. Finally, 0.3m medium (coarse) sand
is filled. The filling method is the same as that of the first
layer. After static pressing twice with 25t roller, the subgrade
base reinforcement is completed.
(6) After the third layer of medium (coarse) sand is rolled, two
geogrids are laid on both sides of the slope longitudinally along
the line, overlapping 0.16m, and connected in the same way, and
then the earthwork construction operation is started. The geogrid
is laid for slope protection. The laid sideline must be measured on
each layer, and the geogrid shall be buried 0.10m in the slope
after slope renovation on each side.
(7) When the slope geogrid is filled with two layers of soil, that
is, when the thickness is 0.8m, a layer of geogrid shall be laid on
both sides at the same time, and so on until it is laid under the
soil on the surface of the shoulder.
(8) After the subgrade is filled, the slope shall be repaired in
time, and the dry rubble protection at the slope toe shall be
carried out. In addition to widening 0.3m on each side of the
subgrade, 1.5% settlement shall be reserved.
