HEXAGON NUT WITH CLAMPING PIECE (NON-METAL INSERT) FINE THREAD

This International Standard specifies the characteristics of prevailing torque type hexagon regular nuts (with non-metallic insert), style 1, with metric fine pitch thread with nominal thread diameters, D, from 8 mm up to and including 36 mm, in product grade A for sizes, D, up to and including 16 mm and product grade B for sizes, D, above 16 mm, and with property classes 6, 8 and 10. The dimensions of the nuts correspond to those given in ISO 8673 plus prevailing torque feature. In this revised version the normative references are now undated in order to facilitate the unequivocal use of each currently applicable version of a standard. Moreover, the content of the standard has been brought in line with the revised ISO 898-2. This standard is identical to the European Standard EN ISO 10512:2012 in which the International Standard ISO 10512:2012 was adopted without any modifications. This standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 2 "Fasteners" in collaboration with CEN/TC 185 "Fasteners", both secretariats of which are held by DIN. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 067-00-03 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Innengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric internal thread") of the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV) at DIN.
