Products Introduction

In the safety-related application (SIL 3 in accordance with IEC 61508) of the counters, the overall plant including the sensors or encoders connected must comply with the safety requirements. For more information, refer to the HIMatrix Safety Manual (HI 800 023 E). Only shielded cables with a length of a maximum of 500 m must be connected to the counter inputs. Each counter input must be connected to a twisted pair of wires. The shielding must be connected at both ends.
