I. Overview:
GR type fishing tool is composed of GU joint (upward shear joint)
and GS type fishing tool (without shear pin), which can be released
by upward shearing. It is usually used to salvage lock cores,
packers and bridge plugs with internal salvage necks.
II. Technical parameters of common specifications:
Szie | Actual OD | FN | Fishing OD | Connection | Lower connection thread |
2″ | 1.81″ | 1.375″ | 1.38″ | 15/16″-10UN | 1/2-13UN″ |
2.5″ | 2.25″ | 1.375″ | 1.81″ | 15/16″-10UN | 5/8-11UN″ |
3″ | 2.72″ | 1.75″ | 2.31″ | 1-1/16″-10UN | 5/8-11UN″ |
3.5″ | 3.11″ | 2.313″ | 2.62″ | 1-1/16″-10UN | 5/8-11UN″ |
Technical parameters can also be according to user requirements
III. Structural features:
GR type fishing tool is mainly composed of GU joint and GS type
fishing tool (upper joint may not be included), etc., as shown in
the attached assembly drawing.
During fishing operation (refer to the GS assembly drawing), when
the fishing claw touches the end of the inner fishing neck, it will
fall back to a slightly smaller diameter of the core and retract;
when the fishing paw fully enters the inner fishing neck, the
thrust of the auxiliary spring is compressed Down, the fishing claw
immediately opened to catch it. When the tool is blocked upwards,
it can be shaken and released.
IV, maintenance:
1. After the tool is disassembled, check the damage of each part
and replace the damaged parts.
2. When assembling, a thin layer of grease should be applied to the
thread surface.
3. After assembling, put the protective wire on the thread of the
salvage neck connection and mark it for later use.
