• Introduction​ of 4 20 mA Controller

ZHC4661 is an industrial-grade 4G RTU that provides 4 channels of AI, 2 channels of AO and 1 channel of RS485 interfaces, supports Modbus RTU/TCP adaptive, automatic acquisition and active reporting, 4-20mA analog control acquisition, automatic calibration threshold reporting, support one-to-one, many-to-one connection, which can be widely used in power systems.

Function of 4 20 mA Controller ZHC4661

The signal current of general instruments is 4-20mA, which means that the minimum current is 4mA and the maximum current is 20mA. When transmitting a signal, consider that there is also resistance on the wire. If voltage transmission is used, a certain voltage drop will be generated on the wire, and a certain error will occur in the signal at the receiving end. Therefore, the current signal is generally used as the standard transmission of the transmitter.
ZHC4661 is a remote control product that supports analog follow and control acquisition.

Operating Mode:

Host mode: In this mode, the server can send Modbus data (the address is the product address) to communicate with the product. If the sent data cannot be identified by the product, it will forward the data to the RS485 bus where the product is located; Devices on the same RS485 bus can also send Modbus data (the address is the product address) to communicate with the product. If the data cannot be identified by the product, it will forward such data to the server.
Slave mode: In this mode, the server can send Modbus data (the address is the product address) to communicate with the product. If the sent data cannot be identified by the product, the data will be directly discarded and will not be forwarded; Devices on the same RS485 bus can also send Modbus data (the address is the product address) to communicate with the product. If the data cannot be identified by the product, such data will be directly discarded and no longer forwarded.

Serial Heartbeat
Function description: The serial port sends out the specified data regularly
Serial port heartbeat 1~serial heartbeat 4 register address: 40789~40828 (0x0314~0x033B)
Support function codes: 03 (read holding registers), 10 (write multiple holding registers)
Default value: all 0x00
Register package function
Function description: "Registration package" is used in the server to identify device data. The registration package supports two types: "connect to send" and "data carrying". "Connect to send" means to send a registration package when the device establishes a connection with the server. "Data carrying" means that the device carries the registration package before the data and sends it to the server.
Heartbeat packet function
Function description: "Heartbeat package" is used to maintain a long connection between the server and the device
Default value: 0x0001
