Description

The lithium ion (Li-Ion) battery pack is a specially designed module, for use in CARESCAPE™ patient monitor system and other medical equipment as applicable. The module is comprised of inbuilt integrated circuits (IC), TI BQ20Z65-R1 and Seiko S-8244AAFFN-CEF-T2. The integrated circuit BQ20Z65-R1 measures available charge in the battery using its integrated high-performance analog peripherals, it mainly monitors capacity change, battery impedance and open-circuit voltage. The data captured is communicated to system host controller through serial communication bus.

The CARESCAPE™ B450 monitor is a compact bedsidesolution with the flexible power to meet most patient acuities. The device is lightweight and capable of maintaining patient monitoring and data continuity in cases where intra-hospital transport is needed.

Monitor Specification:

1. Provides continuous hemodynamic measurement during intra-hospital transport and also transfers trend data with the CARESCAPE Patient Data Module.

2. Wireless connectivity with GE’s CARESCAPE Gateway enables communications to EMR systems through standard HL7 protocol.

3. Eases workflow and enables patient mobility with telemetry and combination monitoring capability.

4. Provides a peer-to-peer networking option that allows monitors to communicate and view information from other GE CARESCAPE monitors.

5. Supports networking with other GE Healthcare products including CARESCAPE CIC Pro, iCentral, MUSE* ECG database, Unity Network* ID and other products that run on the CARESCAPE Network.
