The MAX-250 oxygen sensor is a galvanic cell that uses a proprietary weak acid electrolyte which makes the sensor resistant to toxic gases.

How to prolong the Life of an Oxygen Sensor


  • Store the sensor upright at room temperature with the membrane facing down
  • Absolute shipping/storage temperature range from -15° to 50° C
  • Do not expose the sensor to vacuum, high pressure, shock or vibration
  • Do not expose the sensor to acidic or organic solvent vapors, chlorine (bleach), ozone or dust
  • Recognize that pressure, temperature, relative humidity, and oxygen exposure can all affect the life of a glavonic oxygen sens
