Description

Our YF series electromagnetic water meter is with battery-powered. As a high-performance water flow meter are designed for water, wastewater, sewage volumetric flow measurement in closed conduits. It is ideal for remote locations in municipal, irrigation, wastewater treatment and industrial liquid processes industries where no power connection is available.

Measure theory

This magnetic flow meter is designed based on Faraday’s law of magnetic induction. A voltage is induced in a conductor moving through a magnetic field. The following medium is the moving conductor in the electromagnetic measuring principle, . The voltage induced is proportional to the flow velocity and is supplied to the amplifier by means of two measuring electrodes. The flow volume is calculated by means of the pipe cross section area.

How to use the magnetic flow meter

The ElectroMagnetic flowmeters measure the velocity of conductive liquids in pipes, such as water, acids, caustic, and slurries. Magnetic flowmeters can measure properly when the electrical conductivity of the liquid is greater than approximately 5μS/cm. Be careful because using magnetic flowmeters on fluids with low conductivity, such as deionized water, boiler feed water, or hydrocarbons, can cause the flowmeter to turn off and measure zero flow.
