Artificial Lab Created Diamonds Description
Cultivation of diamonds, Lab created diamond (Synthetic diamond)
business name, also known as Laboratory Grown diamond. Refers to in
the laboratory or factory through a certain technology and process
to manufacture and natural diamond appearance, chemical composition
and crystal structure of the same crystal. A national standard for
synthetic diamonds led by NGTC is being developed.
An equiaxed crystal body consisting of carbon atoms formed wholly or partly by the growth of an iOL.
The physical properties, chemical composition and crystal structure
are basically the same as those of natural diamond, mossberg
hardness 10, density 3.52 (±0.01) g/cm³, refractive index 2.417,
dispersion value 0.044.
In July 2018, the FEDERAL Trade Commission (FTC) changed the
62-year-old definition of a diamond to recognize a lab-grown
diamond as a diamond.
Diamond synthesis methods include chemical vapor deposition (CVD)
and high temperature and pressure (HTHP).

High pressure high Temperature method (HPHT)
Growing diamonds requires an indispensable element: carbon (C). In
the process of growing HPHT diamonds, pure carbon powder is
compressed into a growth capsule and then placed in a incubation
chamber at pressures of 5-6 gpa and extremely high temperatures (up
to 1300-1600°C) day in and day out. Eventually the carbon atoms
join together to form a diamond crystal. Many large diamonds over
10 carats can be produced in one go in less than two weeks.
