CVD Rough Diamonds Description


CVD cultivation of diamonds (chemical vapor deposition) is a hot topic at present. The basic principle is to deposit diamonds in a vacuum, using the highly thermal decomposition of methane gas to break down a plasma of carbon atoms. Early development of CVD technology was to create what are called diamond films, but later research has shown that diamond crystals can also grow very large particles of synthetic diamonds.
