12 core Armored multimode 50/125um OM2 breakout patch cord is a
multimode type cable. It is different from the indoor normal cable.
Because inside the cable has a stainless steel material protection
tube to protect the cable from rats. It is widely used in the data
center distribution, CATV, FTTH application.
The normal indoor cable is very easy to be broken due to there is not metal protection tube from the damage by rats so that it needs to be prepare and changed often once it is broken. So, the price of a normal indoor cable patch cord price is cheaper than the armored cable, but the maintenance cost is higher than the armored patch cord.
The armored cable patch cord saves a lot of cost of maintenance. And also save a lot of time to prepare the cable, especial in a very small space. Also, Stainless steel tube provides good protection against physical damage
