Industrial air springs can be used in belt filters


An industrial air spring could be defined as a reservoir of air made of rubber and fabric, which is shaped with bellows and that can be used to support load, isolate vibrations and shocks, or act as a pneumatic cylinder by expanding itself.

Bellows cylinders are placed to function as pneumatic actuators capable of tensioning the net carrying the sludge. Depending on the amount of sludge on the belt, the bellows barrel expands or contracts on its own, while the water and sludge flow is controlled by the system applied in the bellows barrel.


Air spring advantages


(1) The air spring can absorb high-frequency vibration and has excellent sound insulation performance.
The air spring is mainly composed of rubber bladder and air. During the vibration process, the rubber bladder has very little internal friction due to stretching and warping, so it is difficult to transmit high-frequency vibration. Air and rubber do not transmit sound easily, so they have good sound insulation properties. The steel spring is easy to transmit high-frequency vibration and sound.
(2) If an orifice is set between the main air chamber and the auxiliary air chamber of the air spring, when the air spring vibrates and deforms, a pressure difference will be generated between the main and auxiliary air chambers, and the air flowing through the orifice will absorb part of it due to resistance. energy and thus has a damping effect. Appropriate throttle aperture can improve the damping characteristics of the vibration isolation system and effectively suppress the resonance amplitude.
(3) The air spring is light in weight. Except for the rubber bladder and almost weightless air, the main body is the upper cover and the lower cover, so it is much lighter than the steel spring.

(4) The air spring can use the height control valve system to keep the working height of the air spring basically unchanged under different loads. Similarly, the height control valve can also be used to make the air spring have different heights under a certain load, so it can adapt to various structural requirements.
