What is a Bolt Down or Bolt on fuse?

The Bolt down or Bolt on automotive fuses are ideal for battery and alternator circuit protection. The Bolt Down fuse is a 32 volt DC, time delay fuse,. The MIDI,® bolt on fuse has an interrupting rating, of 1,000 amps with amperage ratings ranging from 30 to 200 amps. The MEGA,® bolt on fuse has an interrupting rating of 2,000 amps with amperage ratings ranging from 40 to 500 amps. The 32 volt DC BF1, style bolt on fuse has a maximum interrupting rating of 2,000 amps and is available from 30 to 200 amps. The 58 volt DC BF1 style bolt down fuse has an interrupting rating of 1,000 amps and is available from 30 to 200 amps. The BF1 fuses have a transparent housing cover for blown fuse indication. The BF1 bolt on fuse is built in accordance with the UL 248-14,, Special Purpose Fuse standard.
