It is the end of cage, normally it is adhered to cage by welding, crimped, inside ring etc. Cage base is pressed product which is cut and polished, so it is smooth without burrs. So cage bottom cap is the end of filter cage,it supports filter cage, also it protect bag, to extend lifetime of cage and bag.
