DX51D Z100 Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Sheet Gi Sheet
Galvanized Steel Sheet Introduction
What is the difference between galvanized steel and hot-dipped
galvanized?
In brief, hot dip galvanizing is a type of galvanizing.
The key difference between galvanized and hot dip galvanized is
that galvanized materials have a smooth and sharp finishing,
whereas hot sip galvanized structures have a rough finishing.
Is hot-dipped galvanized steel rust proof?
The bond that forms between the steel and zinc when materials are
hot-dip galvanized is self-healing.
This means that, when the zinc coating comes into contact with
water, it reacts by building up extra protection for itself.
This protection increases its rust and corrosion resistance.

| Galvanized steel is mild steel with a coating of zinc. The zinc
protects the steel by providing cathodic protection to the exposed
steel, so should the surface be damaged the zinc will corrode in
preference to the steel. Zinc steel is one of the most widely used
products, used extensively in the building sector, automotive,
agricultural and other areas where the steel needs to be protected
from corrosion. |
