Features
1. Brake disc: The most commonly used is the ventilated disc. Ventilation discs
are divided into two forms, scoring discs and perforated discs. The
two treatment methods are used to improve the cooling performance
of the brake disc, reduce its thermal attenuation, and provide
better braking ability.
In addition, with the development of material technology in recent
years, there have been differences in the material of brake discs.
There are two types of carbon fiber ceramic brake discs and metal
brake discs. However, due to the high manufacturing cost of carbon
fiber ceramic brake discs and the poor low temperature Although the
braking force has excellent resistance to thermal attenuation, it
is still not selected by most vehicles. It is only used on some
high-performance sports cars such as Ferrari and Pagani. After all,
the original metal brake discs of the "grocery car" in general
homes are enough. It is more affordable than replacing ceramic
brake discs, but it is still very eye-catching to install ceramic
brake discs.
2. Multi-piston brake cylinder and master cylinder: The brake cylinder is the brake caliper we often talk about. The
difference between the different calipers lies in the number of
pistons inside. The original cars are mostly single pistons. There
are 4 pistons, 6 pistons, 8 pistons, 10 pistons, 12 pistons and so
on in the modified products. More pistons represent the caliper
clamp. The stronger the ability to tighten the brake disc, the
greater the braking force, and the more often it is used in
competitions.
The master cylinder plays a role in conveying brake oil, and the
distribution result of the master cylinder directly affects the
brake foot feel. After the multi-piston sub-cylinder was replaced,
the output and distribution of the original master cylinder brake
oil were not reset, which would cause the pistons to not get enough
brake oil for vehicle braking, so braking occurred The pedal stroke
is lengthened, and the braking distance is increased.
3. Brake pads: Brake pads are parts that directly transmit braking force to the
wheels. It is not composed of simple rubber as we imagined, but is
divided into metals, carbon fiber ceramics and other materials.
Different materials have different working temperatures and
friction coefficients. Generally, brake pads with higher friction
coefficients have higher working temperatures. When selecting
high-performance brake pads, we do not pursue the high braking
force brought by the high friction coefficient, because in daily
driving, high braking force will make the brakes too sensitive, and
the comfort and handling will be significantly reduced. The working
temperature will also make it difficult for the brake pads to reach
the working state and cause danger.
